Rock n play sleeper
Who loves it? Does it really help. My son is very gassy and doesn't seem to like to sleep flat. I'm considering buying this so wanted opinions on it

Re: Rock n play sleeper
I seriously couldnt live without it with my twins, they both had acid reflux and it helped them sleep better being elevated. Definitely the best purchase I ever made.

this was the only place DD would sleep when she was first home and we still use it almost every day. it's one of the few places we can put her down and she'll stay there and be content.

Re: Rock n play sleeper
We use the swing and bouncer instead. DS naps in the swing and plays in the bouncer during the day.

I loved it at first bc it really did help dd sleep better and helped to prevent her from spitting up. The only problem is that now at six months she is spoiled by it and doesn't want to sleep in her crib. So just keep in mind that at some point you will have to deal with making the transition back to sleeping flat. For some babies they make he switch easily but for mine that is not the case unfortunately!

We have it but I'm not sure it's a necessity. We have a bassinet and bouncer seat and swing...dd loves them all. The only time we use the rnp is when we want to rock her to sleep for a nap if she's really fussy (and we are too lazy to go into the rocking chair).

I had it and it was absolutely a necessity! My DD wouldn't have been able to sleep at all without it! I got it and Im not exaggerating within 1-2 weeks she was STTN at 2.5 months! I got 6 hour stretches out of her when she wasn't doing that at all any other way I tried! So I swear by it! She was terribly gassy and ended up having a milk intolerance and reflux. The RNP saved my sanity! I say its a necessity! LOL

Any future children we will use the RNP instead of the basinet. Love this. I think newborns GI tracts are so immature and sensitive they need to be laying somewhat upright.

Re: Rock n play sleeper
I don't know if it will do anything for gas but my daughter had severe reflux and we couldn't lay her flat because she would choke. She did well in it but did start to develop torticolis because her head would flop to one side in it and from what I've researched, this is pretty common.

Re: Rock n play sleeper
It was my life saver. DD hated the bassinet. She hated being flat. She slept in her bouncer until I picked up the RNP.

Re: Rock n play sleeper
Couldn't have lived without it! But we did not use it for bedtime, just around the house during the day and for naps. Still use it daily at 7mos but DS is starting to sit up in it so it's days are numbered.

I like it because I leave it at the sitters and take it places with me so she can sleep. We are currently on a trip and she sleeps in it in the hotel. At home she sleeps in her crib. I don't use it regularly but it's great for things like this. I did use it a bit more around the house when she was a newborn. Just fold up and take with you. She is 4 months old now and I'm glad I have one.
ETA: for awhile I didn't use it and thought to myself what a waste but ow I think it's a must have, ESP for trips and going to people's house etc,..

Re: Rock n play sleeper
LOVE IT!!! DD used it for almost all her naps and even just to relax and watch her baby Einstein videos. She had acid reflux so it was comfortable for her. She slept in her bassinet at night though to get used to nighttime routines. I didn't officially put it away until 10 months She was sitting up in it much sooner but she just loved it and it took some time to transition to the crib naps. Of course I was right on top of her when she was in it at that point.

She sleeps on it overnight. Since we are using the pnp as a changing area it's come in very handy for us

Re: Rock n play sleeper
I'm in the minority here. We tried to use it, DS wanted nothing to do with it. However he loves the swing and the bouncer. But he has always slept in his bassinet at night. But I think it's definitely good to have if your baby has gas issues or reflux. We haven't dealt with either, so for us the rnp wasn't a necessity.

I can't say my DD LOVES it and won't sleep elsewhere, but we are using it for her to sleep at night and she does well in it. I have started naps in the crib so she starts getting used to it though
