Rock n play to crib transition - some questions

So DD has been sleeping in her RnP since about 3 weeks old. It was great in the beginning but now she's 4 1/2 months and big for her age and shes starting to try to sit up in it so I feel it's time to get her sleeping in her crib very soon. The problem is she hates her crib so I know this won't be easy. I tried putting a crib wedge under the fitted sheet to prop her head up a little but it doesn't seem to help. She just ends up rolling sideways then. Also when I swaddle her she just wriggles out of it. Here are a few questions for anyone who made the transition:

How old was your dc when they started sleeping in the crib?

How long did the transition take?

Any tips on how to make it easier on her?

If they were already STTN in the rnp did they wake up more during the night in the crib at first?

Thanks in advance! I have tried letting her CIO in increments but even when I go in to try to soothe her she continues freaking out until I pick her up, and sometimes it even takes a long while to calm her down after I picked her up. she's acting like we banished her to a dungeon or something!

Re: Rock n play to crib transition - some questions

We started the transition at 4-5 months old. We would start the night in the crib, if he woke up before 2am we would try the crib again, if it was after that we went to the RnP to finish the night. We did this for probably 2 weeks, then he was getting up ALOT and regardless of being in the crib or the RnP he wasn't going more then 3-4 hours in a row (previously he would do 5-7 hrs w/out waking up in the rnp). So we started breaking him of the swaddle at the same time (thinking that was playing a part as he fought it so much). All I know is around 5-6 months one night I put him in the crib swaddled w/ one arm out and he immediately rolled to his stomach and then slept the whole night through and has been doing that since 6 months unswaddled (he's 9 months now). So I guess it was hard to say what took so long with the transition between breaking out of his swaddle/switching from the RnP or the crib issue hehe. For our DS sleeping on his stomach was the key!
