rotovirus vaccine
Has anyone's DD have a reaction to this??

I was just thinking of this. My dd had diarrhea for a week and spit up a lot for 3 weeks. I go back on Monday and she should be getting her second round but I am thinking of just not getting it. It seems everyone I talk to never had the children get it. I was wondering if it is a mandated vaccine for preschool. If not I will totally skip it!

DS didn't have a reaction the first two times, but we're questioning his reaction to the third one. He's going to the pediatrician tomorrow about this actually. Ever since he had the last round, his appetite has decreased quite a bit and he's fighting the bottle. His tummy's also making some weird rumbling noises that it never made before...not sure if it's due to hunger. DH and I both suspect it's either a reaction to his last dose of rota or maybe he's teething...we're going to find out tomorrow.
Either way, getting the rota vaccine is important to DH and I because DH sees first hand what happens to kids who end up in the ICU because of rota.

Thanks for the responses.. It is important to me to have the vaccine too...
However, Chloe got her shots plus the roto last Thursday.. On Saturday she starting vomiting her formula and has been doing this since then.. I took her to the doc on Monday-- said it is probably a virus and not a reaction... Said it should be gone by the end of the week... Well it Thursday and I thought I was in the clear since she had 3 feedings of formula with no vomiting and it was time to eat and she threw up... SO I am so fustrated and confused..
I am just so burnt out with a toddler who needs all my attention and dealing with her.
I have a call into the doc and waiting for an answer..
Sorry, I needed to vent
