RP from Pregnancy: Short-Term Disability...Help!!!

I just want to make sure I have this right.....

For a Vag Birth you get 6 weeks and for a C-section you get 8 weeks...Is this right??

FMLA....How long do you get for that?
12 weeks???

TIA!!!

That is correct. Just make sure you qualify for FMLA, your company has to have 50+ employees in a 75 mile radius to qualify.

ETA: and they overlap. You do not get 6 or 8 weeks + 12 weeks.

What do you mean they overlap?

I can't get short-term disability then start my FMLA, which would be after my disability runs out?

FMLA and disabilty run concurrently.

FMLA, if you qualify, is the law that protects your job if you leave for 12 weeks for the birth/adoption of a baby.

Talk to your HR department. Each companies maternity leave policies are different.

For example, I took 12 weeks off for the birth of my DD.

I was able to take 3 weeks vacation.
I had 8 weeks ST disability (I had a c-section and this was at a certain % of my pay per my company's policy).
The last week was unpaid.
After 12 weeks I had to come back as my job was no longer protected under FMLA.
