I am so sorry that you guys have had such terrible experiences!!

I'm 4dpiui from the Mineola office. Dr. Sung did it, but I've been seeing Dr. Trivax. So far the cycle has been fine. I was nervous going at first because I was afraid he was going to drum me out of the office. I have high FSH and low ovarian reserve - I'm entering menopause prematurely. I thought he was very thorough and answered all the questions my husband and I had.

I'm trying not to get nervous - don't want too much negative energy.

I truly hope it all works out for each of you (and me)!

IVF is a whole different ball game then IUI. I had both done here and IVF is a lot more intense etc. Which is why you want to make sure you are truly happy where you are before you go forward with an IVF.

For those of you who have used RS of NY did you have frozen embryos left that were transferred to the new facility? My insurance will cover an extra 10k if I use a Center of Excellence facility so either way BFP or BFN I'm transferring my remaining embryos out of the practice and they won't cover until remaining embryos are used. I'm just wondering if your remaining embryos we're accepted at your new RE?

Yes, I transferred my 5 frozens out of RS of NY to RMA. RMA is based out of NY City but they have a satellite office in Garden City and they are a center of excellence. RMA was less convenient bc main office where embies get taken is NYC but to me it was worth getting them out of there.

This place has been like this for awhile. I began with them in 2012 and left in 2013. The wait time is RIDICULOUS, the doctors never check you, you get a different doctor each time. Dr. Sung misdiagnosed me- said my saline sonogram was clear yet she missed a uterine septum that I had to have surgery for! second dr saw it a sclera as day!
They didn't put me on thyroid meds yet next dr said that my thyroid levels were elevated and I should be on Synthroid.
Dr.Trivax was my dr. Liked him at first until he kept telling us after multiple failed IVFS that we have insurance and can keep going- yet didn't push for further testing or bloodwork- I begged him to send me for an HSG which found my septum.
I think he's a good doctor in the wrong practice.
I can go on and on about this place. I cringe on how much time and insurance money I wasted with that practice.
and this was 2 years ago.

Wow! I can't believe that happened to you. Maybe because everything was going so smooth for me last year I figured ok but after hearing these horror stories. I use to go to north shore and even though I saw a dr everyday I had a stubborn dr who refused to change my protocols after numerous failed cycles so I switched to RS of NY. I got pregnant my first frozen cycle with them but this go around was totally the opposite it's not even with me personally it's everything else you see. When I had my consult with him leading up to this cycle I'm in now I told him this will be my last cycle here so I guess that's what made him want to do the biopsy and change my protocol a little if not it probably would have been the same as my October cycle. Transfer is next week.

If I got pregnant like you did, my attitude might be different. Trust me I TRIED so hard to want to like this office but it was one thing after another.

I understand your frustration. I would be pissed too.

Everyone is different and has different experiences. Some people love this office and drs. Others don't. They don't drum you out of the office. He took me with low ovarian reserve high FSH etc. I had similar issues to you.

I transferred my embryos. I took them from from trivax to Braverman. We did it ourselves. Rented the tank and strapped them in the backseat

from what LI IVF told me and not sure if this is all offices, but you borrow a tank from the new RE, drive to old RE, they pack it and you drive you embryos to new office

RS of NY vent

One thing I hope is that everyone here that is not happy with this office has complained directly to luz who is the head of hr, their doctors and the nursing staff. Putting it on here is great but PLEASE inform the office!

Most of my monitoring was done in Garden City- yes the retrieval and transfer are done in NYC but it was worth the inconvenience. Garden City office is small and you are in and out in the a.m.

Trust me I have. This whole IVF thing is a lot to take to begin with, sometimes its easier to vent here than to vent and take on a whole practice. I vented to them but to no avail. They didn't care.

I rented tank from RS of NY, strapped embies and brought to NYC dropped off embies and brought tank back to RS of NY. RMA did not provide tanks and I didn't want to have it done through a messenger service. It wasn't that difficult.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. I'm in the middle of a FET cycle too and have a transfer next week. I'm not moving them until after this transfer.

You can rent the tank from RS. You just bring it back to them.

I totally understand, it's something that none of us should have to deal with especially considering the circumstances we all have to face. I just meant that for those who are staying there, like possibly myself, it's important to communicate it to them vs just leave...
I have no idea if they cared or not about my situation...they say they do, but do i really believe them, no idea!
I hate this and hate that we all had terrible experiences with them in some shape or form. It bothers me more that two years ago I didn't experience this.

Why all the negativity. Shouldn't we be relaxed when we are trying. I have no problem with them. They have been compassionate and friendly.

No worries...it's interesting to see how experiences change....I feel like 1 to 2 years ago folks were hating on liivf and now it's rsny....I guess it's the ebb and flow. I am moving to my 3rd clinic, not related to the boards but based on my personal frustrations and need to start new.

I have two beautiful girls. Keeping positive is key. I believe that no matter which office you go to, as "hormonal" women we are going to find something wrong.
Remember you are the patient and have a voice. Insults are a sign of weakness. Instead of complaining- why not speak up and find a solution to make your treatment better. If that includes changing md's then do it but I can bet you that a month later you will be complaining about them too. I have been in your shoes. Changing your attitude might work. Be nice and strong.

It's not negativity its honesty. Too many people having similar negative experiences- that's a problem. I'm glad it's working for you but for many of us it's did not.

This is not true at all!!!! I left RS and was very happy at my new practice. I spent two years trying to keep positive and hopeful at my former office. I gave them every chance before I had enough. And we are allowed to vent and complain. We go through enough as it is! My attitude has been positive be and strong for the past two years but I am also honest.

Re: RS of NY vent

Like I said - if you want to change - change then. We all have a voice. I am all for it. I have done it.

All I was saying is be true, positive, and make you own choice. You know when you do not feel comfortable. If a pair of pants don't fit right or feel right, you find others that do. Move on. Be happy. You don't waste time complaining. Just saying ...
