and i cant stand what HIllary said about the 20s generation - how we are slackers and think we deserve the "$50K" jobs right out of college.
um, Hill? you are the senator of NY. are you aware of the cost of living on LI? $50K doesnt get you far.
and when you daughter graduated, she started making over $100k.
must be nice, hypocrite!
I agree with what she said. I think we EXPECT that we will get paid that much. And if you are married and both make 50K it will get you something.

I agree with that too. I'm in the generation of recent college grads and there are a lot of people out there who are not willing to pay dues and expect something for nothing. Just look at shopaholic's assistant. And you know what, for a recent college grad who has little to no experience, $50K is a lot. A single person can more than live off of it. I know people who live on half of that...
ETA: I would jump for joy if I could make ANYTHING NEAR $50K

since so many brought up cheating... how much respect do you have someone who's husband cheated on her while he was President of the most powerful nation on earth and didn't do a thing about it?
I just find it funny how everyone thinks she is a strong woman... but not too strong to tell Bill to kiss her azz.
I voted for Hillary and would again, for Senate. NEVER for President!
I don't understand why so many people have said Bill was an awesome President yet knock Hillary for not leaving him.
Honestly, we don't know everything that went on between Hillary and Bill.We can imagine, and I'm sure a lot of what we pictured probably did happen (the same fights we would have as married couples), but they were BOTH pretecthing themselves professionally I'm sure as well.

Re: Rudy or Hillary?
Honestly, I don't respect either of them - on a personal or a political level. I wish there was an "other" - and I hope there are other options in 2008.
DH can't stand him because he takes the credit for cleaning up NYC, but when it came to recognizing the officers who were on the front lines he didn't even give them a cost of living increase. I lost respect for him when he brought his girlfriend onto the steps of St. Patrick's while he was still married.
I lost a ton of respect for Hillary when she publicly rolled her eyes and checked her watch during a 9/11 memorial at Yankee stadium as they were reading the names of the victims. Unfortunately for her she didn't realize the camera was on her for that moment. I will never forget it - Not exactly who I would want leading this country.

Well her daughter is lucky. But I don't think it invalidates her point at all.

Re: Rudy or Hillary?
sure it does!
dont go saying that we think we "deserve" things yet her daughter has a cake job. puuhhlease.
she is the senator for NY but knows nothing about our cost of living.
the only reason she wanted to be senator here is bc she knew she would get alot more press about it. if she was the senator of Arkansas the national media attention would be far less.

Re: Rudy or Hillary?
My Fh made more than $50K out of college, but I agree with her completely. A lot of people graduating college today have a sense of entitlement and a poor work ethic.
I think Chelsea Clinton's job has nothing to do with it.

I think Chelsea Clinton's job has nothing to do with it. IMO, $50K these days is not what it was even 10 yrs ago due to inflation.
and as a Senator of NY State, she should know that even those people who earn $50K aren't exactly living the "high life" around here. DH and I both make more than that and can't even afford to buy a house on LI.
