Runners/joggers....where do you buy your sneakers?
I run/jog between 2.5 and 3 miles (I try to go everyday) lately I have noticed my feet are burning so I think I need new sneakers
I am just curious where you ladies get your sneakers and if there is a real difference thanks

I don't think it really matters where you get your sneakers. It has more to do with what type/brand of sneaker you wear. Each person is different, so I would shop around and try different types of shoes. I, personally, prefer Nike Running. I've tried New Balance (hurt my feet) and Addidas (which wasn't too bad), but I find I can never go wrong with Nike.

I go to Road Runner Sports, but I don't think they have any in NY. It's the greatest store! They actually put you on a treadmill that has a camera set up to record your foot strike and they play the video in slow motion to analyze the way your pronate, toe off etc. They have a computerized pad you step on to analyze your arch and where you put pressure as you step. It's pretty cool! I've ordered from them online in the past too. I love them because they're all runners so they know what they're talking about. I would find a local running shop and let them advise you on a sneaker. I know for myself the right sneaker makes a world of difference. I prefer Saucony, but everyone will have a different sneaker that fits them best. Also, if you've put a lot of miles on your sneakers that could be why it's making your feet hurt.

Runners Edge Farmingdale, they help me pick out sneakers that were good for me because I have flat feet and I always would wear sneakers that were to small.

I go in the city to Jack Rabbit or Urban Athletic. I think there is a Jack Rabbit on LI. They will have you run in a basic sneakers to see what kind of support you will need. this is the best way to get running sneakers.
ETA: Don't go to any sports store like Footlocker or Sports Authority- they don't know enough about what you'll need for running.

Definitely agree with this....I buy at least 2-3 pairs of sneakers a year. (I should probably buy more.)

I go there too. They really know what they're talking about, and are helpful, with fair prices (same as Zappos anyway).

I know the exact shoe I need, so I just go to the Nike Outlet, but a running store (like mentioned above or super runner in huntington) will be great to help you find what you need.

I go here too. They are great. I definitely recommend going to a running store to get fitted for shoes. They know a lot about sneakers and can help you find one that will give you the right support.
