Runners- what are your upcoming races?
After doing the WW 5k Challenge I realized I'm ready to get back into races! I'd love to get in a few this summer. If all goes well I'll even be ready for the Diva in October!
What races will you be doing in the upcoming months?

I signed up for the NYS Park Summer Series on Monday evenings. Other than that I have not signed up for anything else yet.

It's a flat track, on the actual tarmac with jets landing in the background. Troops everywhere - should be fun!

Go for it!
I didn't finish c25k when I did my first 5k. You really have nothing to lose. If anything it will get you more motivated to get out & run.

June 12th - AIDS Cancer 5k in Seaford - nice, smallish event on a closed loop in Cedar Creek. I've done this one twice before and the post race refreshments are really good.
July 17th(?) I was thinking about the Thunder Run 5k in Hauppauge.
I'd like to find an event for August, but I'm not sure when we are going away yet.

My dad loves this race. I was supposed to do it last year but I got hurt. I've run the loop in Cedar Creek..its so easy. I think I might do it this year. I know my dad would like me to.

I wanted to sign up for my fist half marathon in the fall! But we'll see! I just gave birth last month so I need to build myself up again! I'm hoping I can do it in the fall. If not definitely the Spring!

I wanted to do this, but I'll be away... I will be doing the Shelter Island 10k.... Drinks at my place on the island after! All are welcome!

There is one this weekend (Saturday) in East Northport: "I Did The Grid".
It's 4 miles.
I am doing the "fun run" (walk/run).
The actual race starts at 8AM and you need to have a 12min. mile (im not quite there yet).
The airport one looks awesome, but, I can't make it that day!

I want to run one more 5K this summer (pregnant), just not sure which one. DH wants to do one, so I'll let him choose.
My favorite summer races are the Shelter Island 10K in June, the NYS Parks Summer Series, and the Arrow Woman's 5K in July.
ETA: I forgot the mini 10K nyrr! love that one too!

City Mini is so great...I ran it last year. There is something really special about women's races. Enjoy it!

I was thinking about doing this race also... but DH is working on the weekends now so I will have to find a baby sitter..... It sounds like fun!

Can you share more info on the Arrow 10K? I googled it and I only came up with an Arrow 5k from 2010. I am looking to run more 10ks... Thanks

I think I am going to do this one as well. I don't really like 5k's I hate the pressure of having to go out so fast but this one looks really fun! The Aids/Cancer one in Seaford I did last year and it was so boring 2 loops around Cedar Creek but the refreshments after are worth it but I will be skipping it this year. Also I am already signed for shelter island it is my favorite 10k!

I signed up for the NYC Mini but can't do it!! 
I'm doing:
June 5th -- 4M Israel Run in Central Park
June 15th---JP Morgan Corporate Challenge
July 9th-- Boomer Esiason Cystic Fibrosis 10K
And hopefully either the Diva Half or Grete's Gallop, both half marathon on the same day--have to decide which!

I'm doing the Sean Ryan 5k in Long Beach on June 25th
Most likely the Thunder Run on July 17th
And the Wounded Warriors 5k in Long Beach on July 23rd
so far that's it
