Runners, what do you do for ankle pain?
My ankle is still sore from the half on sunday. Any stretches that I should do? I really want to get out for a run today but don't want to do any damage.

Where is it on your ankle? What does it feel like?

Ice it and then see how it feels.
Definitely rest it if it doesn't feel right.

definitely monitor it. i had ankle pain last year which i thought was a minor sprain. turns out, i had tendonitis, and almost tore it. if it doesn't get better in a week or so, you might want to go to a ortho to be sure it's nothing serious.

This. From what my coaches have said, ankle pain isn't just something like a muscle soreness that goes away just by resting. Icing helps everything that could be swollen so try this for 20 minutes a few times a day. I would stay off of it though if its painful.

Re: Runners, what do you do for ankle pain?
Just saw this now, sorry! Thanks for the tips. The soreness is on the inside of my ankle and it's gone away a bit, not completely. I think I'll keep resting a bit more and just do strength for now till it's feeling 100%.

Just saw this now. I think its normal to be very sore and have joint pain after your first half marathon. If it doesnt go away within a week than it may be something more.

Feeling so much better! If today isn't as crazy as the last few days I'm really hoping to get out for a nice 5 mile run. *fingers crossed*
