Ruptured Cyst?
Anyone here ever had one? What did it feel like? How long were you in pain for?

Re: Ruptured Cyst?
I've had quite a few and they are awful. They are the worst pain I've ever had aside from being in labor. The pain was generally on one side but once it got really bad, it was all over my lower abdomen area. I would literally be doubled over in pain (could not stand up straight). The worst of it would last about a day, and then residual pain for a few more days. The only thing you can really do is rest with a heating pad. I hope you do not have one!!!

This is exactly what I have experienced as well.

Re: Ruptured Cyst?
Please make sure you get checked by your GYN if you're suspecting a cyst.
I have had numerous ruptured cysts over the years- and it's very painful. A few years ago I felt more pain and figured it was likely a cyst, so I went in to my doctor. It was a cyst alright- but not a typical *simple* cyst (the most common kind). Mine was actually a complex dermoid that had grown around my ovary and was starting to twist.
Thankfully I only lost part of that ovary, but I shudder to think of what might have happend had I not gone to get it checked.

Re: Ruptured Cyst?
Yes, I have had cyst rupture on me twice. It is very painful (the nurse said that this is what labor pains feel like) but the pain subsides after about 5 hours. You just cannot get comfortable. The first one happened when I was 20...the next on happened when I was 27. Both times I was put in the hospital and was released several hours later that same day. If you have any questions, please let me know.
