I understood/stand the inference of the statement and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I was trying to bring to light some very glaring dissimilarities between the two - the fact that she can say this and not have worry of police knocking at her door and taking her and her family to their deaths for it being first and foremost. There is also a vast difference between entering an "unjust war" and ordering the murder of the majority group because they do not agree with you and pose a threat to your own tyrannical unjust power.
yeah. i dont know. sometimes i wonder about how democratic our society really is. i heard an interesting thing on NPR a few weeks ago, about how right is that democracy is spread and if all these countries really want that.
i am off topic, but i respect your opinion and i am now leaving this thread, b/c political threads dont get on well with me.

I'm happy but this happened, but it makes me nerovus for our troops overseas, and us back here in the states. There are a lot of high profile days coming up... New Years Eve, a Presidential funeral... I hope there are no terror threats/acts

Please reconsider this thought. Regardless of what you feel about President Bush, I have never heard anyone truthfully compare him to a Tyrannical Dictator who for more than 30 years ran a country of state-sanctioned TERROR, MURDER AND RAPE.
If I felt the current leader of my country were anything like Hussein, I sure as hell wouldn't be living in this country any longer.

agreed. i may not agree with everything Bush does but he most certainly should not be compared to "the butcher of baghdad"!
God is saddam's judge now. i hope he gets what he deserves!
I agree with this also.
Regardless of how you feel abour our President- you can't compare the two and I think it's just awful to even think about our President being killed  It actually made me well up in tears just reading what was originally written.
And I would feel that way, no matter what, about ANY and ALL of our Presidents (regardless of their political party)... I can't even allow myself to think about it- it's just horrible 
I respect how you feel and everything but that really hurt my heart- I'm very sensitive towards the suggestion of any harm being done to any one of our Presidents.

Dh and I are very happy that saddam huessin got what he deserved, may he rot in hell i say justice was served.I also agree you cant compare president bush to saddam huessin because the president is trying to help our country, i may not agree with the war but he is not killing people by hand and murdering them, im sorry you just cant compare the two, hussein was evil and president bush is not.JMHO
