SAHM and maternity leave
What did you do all day with the baby when you were on maternity leave? What do you do with them at this age?
Also, SAHMs what do you do all dy with your babies/children now?

SAHM and maternity leave
I'm on leave with my 15 months old currently.
When she was a newborn, I started taking her out around 6 weeks. We rotated BRU, Target, Carters, etc. I would feed her right after her morning nap (that's when I'd shower and get ready) and then we'd head out. She'd nap after our outing and then we'd hang out until DH got home.
Around 4-5 months we started doing library classes. It was great to be around other moms and LOs. Other than that, same as above. Just trying to get out every day. We also did the holtsville ecology site when the weather was nice.
Now that she's older, we still do a lot of the same. Library classes, errands, the park, playdates, etc. We usually hang out in the morning for a while, head out from about 10 to 12. We have lunch and then she naps for about 2 hours. After that it's dinner, bath, and bed.

Re: SAHM and maternity leave
I honestly don't even know what I did all day with her as an infant... like, the days never dragged - I felt like I blinked and a day was over and I got nothing done lol she's never been a great napper and she was always a finicky eater so I think a lot of my day was spent coaxing her to eat, and rocking/holding her trying to get her to nap
I started taking her out at about 2 months old... I was nervous at first but I just kept doing it and I literally took/take her EVERYWHERE. we rarely spend an entire day at home - I constantly find an errand to run with her. the mall, target, food shopping, the bank, the library, anything. I take her to get my coffee at dunkin donuts EVERY morning - she loves the flags outside lol she loves being out and about - she's very content, especially if i'm holding her we go for walks, I take her to port jeff village to go on the swings and just putter around. I put her in her baby pool in my yard or take her to my parents to go in their pool. she plays on her playmat every morning next to me while I work out for 30min. we read like, a zillion books a day. she loves when I put the ipod on and dance with her. she loves watching me throw toys to the dogs and having them fetch. she'll sit in her crib with the mobile on and i'll "play" with her stuffed animals for her. she likes peek a boo and this little piggy and I sing tons of songs. sometimes she'll watch a mickey mouse clubhouse if it's an extra long day lol and in the evening we spend a decent amount of time in the bath and she sits in her swing for a baby Einstein. those are things that have entertained her all along... now she has a few toys that she really loves and will entertain her for a decent stretch.
