Re: Sauce in a jar
The only one I would ever use is the vodka sauce (I cant remember the brand but it has a shiny gold label) because I cant make it myself.
ETA: It's Victoria brand.

Re: Sauce in a jar
The only jar I'll use is Rao's Marinara Sauce...it's pricey, almost $8 a jar but so good.

Re: Sauce in a jar
Ok completely unrelated to this thread but I thought this was funny. I don't use sauce in a jar.
I was in the supermarket on Sunday buying the fresh basil, fresh parsley, can of tomatoes for sauce. This guy turns around to his girlfriend and said "See that - I bet she's making sauce. That's what you should be doing for me every Sunday."
I turned to her & said "Actually this is for my husband, he makes the sauce. I don't cook."
I think I made her day, I know I didn't make his..

Re: Sauce in a jar
I don't buy jarred sauce much because I was spoiled as a kid by my grandma's homemade sauce! I usually make my own. But if I don't, we like Emeril's sauces the best. Most other brands I feel the need to add spices to.

Re: Sauce in a jar
Emril "Kicked Up Tomato".
This does NOT taste like Jar Sauce. It was a Consumer Report's "Best Buy". This is a kicka-- sauce. A little spicy... but not too bad.
