Sauce (Poll)
I always ate Jar sauce growing up. When I met DH, he always ate homemade sauce so I started making it myself.
I just bought a couple jars cause sometimes I want something with sauce and I don't have any made, DH goes "Eww Jar Sauce, or Gravy how he says it (gravy is brown in my opinion but thats another topic)
So do you use jar sauce, or make your own?

I prefer making my own but if I need something in a pinch, I will use a jar sauce. But it can only be a certain jar sauce....Victorias Marinara or Rao's even Mama Lombardi's is decent.

I love making my own, but sometimes I just don't have the time or patience. I usually keep a jar in the pantry for nights where I can't be bothered.

I try to make the homemade too but I also use sauce as ingredients in things and sometimes I don't have the time to make a new batch.
I always keep a jar or 2 in the pantry. DH doesn't mind as long as I add some additional spices, etc. to kick up the flavor.

I grew up eating homemade sauce so I make my own now. DH grew up with jarred sauce so he's loving the homemade now.

I grew up with jar sauce and we usually use jar sauce. DH's mom makes a good Jewish tomato sauce though (very sweet and thin) which we will make from time to time.
I make a really good Vodka sauce, so I like to make that sometimes.

I grew up with jar, DH grew up w/ homemade. He hates jarred sauce but I buy it anyway because I do not like homemade sauce, at least not DH's! BUt honestly to me, sauce is sauce.

I never use jar sauce on pasta. Only my own homemade.
However, when I do baked dishes with sauce (like chicken parm or something like that) I use jarred. I think it holds up better in the oven.

DH & I both come from very Italian families and only ate homemade sauce growing up. I usually make my own, but sometimes in a pinch I will buy it from Pastosa...never a jarred sauce like Ragu or anything like that though. Just not a fan of the taste.

both. if it's straight on pasta, then usually will make fresh (though will sometimes doctor up jarred). but if it's pizza, where I am just going to need a little, i will use jarred, and same for baked pasta dishes.

I usually use sauce from a jar but I prefer homemade sauce (my mom's is sooo good) but I'm usually either lazy or just don't have time to make it myself.

I detest jar sauce. It tastes like gross sugary junk to me but I grew up on homemade sauce so I just can't stomach jar sauce. DH, not Italian, grew up on jar sauce but was quickly converted to homemade sauce only after hanging around my Italian family!! He hasn't touched jar sauce in the over 20 yrs we have been together.

JAR. I'm 0% Italian and could never make a sauce. Growing up my mom used preggo and ragu.
DH makes a good sauce but its such a chore we usually just use jarred sauce.

Both, but mostly jar and tweek it by adding chopped garlic, basil and some wine.

I grew up on jarred sauce, DH grew up on homemade sauce (but thank god they never call it gravy, at least not around me )
At home we use both. DH is picky with the brands/flavors he will eat though so he's responsible for buying them.

To be fair my mother usually makes a huge amount and gives me a bunch of containers
But I can and do make my own.
Jarred is just a no go for me, I hate the taste and honestly can make a quick marinara very easily so I see no point in ever resorting to a jar.

I grew up on jar. Will make my own when doing a Sunday pot of sauce for a nice family meal. When I do use jar, I'll doctor it up with garlic, spices, diced tomato etc
