Scary story about a Dog sitter!
My friend goes out of town on weekends often and hires a dog sitter from Coco & Toto, a dog-walking/dog-sitting business in Midtown West--she has had the same dog sitter multiple times and the woman ALWAYS says her dog Bailey is so easy to take care of.
I am my friend's emergency contact with her landlord---she gave the landlord my number awhile ago when I had to get into the apartment while she was away.
I got a call from the landlord on Sunday at midnight telling me Bailey has been barking for 24 hours and neighbors were scared something happened to my friend and were calling the police. I knew she was away and that the dog sitter had to have been there. I speak to my friend who also spoke to the dog walker that said she was at the apartment and there was no barking. Once the dog sitter heard that the cops were called, she admitted that she had left for "20 minutes" to walk her own dog. When police got into the apartment, the dog had gone to the bathroom 4x and tore the place apart in anxiety.
My friend found out that the dog sitter had left her dog for over 24 hours alone.
My friend is horribly distraught--Bailey is a rescue dog and my friend is very worried about her anxiety. Its so sad that someone could do this to her dog!
Please check in with your dog sitters often---nobody should have to deal with this. 
I also wanted to warn people about Coco and Toto!

WTH is wrong with people. I sure hope she never works with animals again!

And can you believe the dog sitter has her OWN dog? I'm sure she'd never want her own dog left for hours alone.
My friend is glad I shared this story---she never wants something like this to happen to someone else!

I wouldn't doubt she leaves her own dog alone for hours & hours or even overnight

agree! thank you for sharing this story. that business should take a hit over this! I don't know what i would do if it were my pet! That poor dog!
