School aged kids (kinder) Summer bdays.. what do you do?
For some reason it dawned on me. Her bday is in August and she has all these friends. But they are all out of school at that point. MAYBE starting the new term, maybe not.
so.. what do you do?
When I was that age (bday two days before hers) I was on base so you already knew all the kids in the neighborhood because they were the same kids at school! Not so on my street. Even though I'm a half a block from the school a lot of the kids go to other schools or the immersion(sp?) school up the road.
Do I have a early party or wait and have a late party. Honestly its January and we've only so far been invited to one party and that was due to girl scouts.

My kid is mid September, and we just have a big family party for him. I don't like the idea of sending out invites in august for his bday, then he will start a new class and want to invite all of those kids  so he parties with all of his cousins and extended family 
Maybe she can just invite a few friends that she hangs with over the summer?

DC #1 has a summer birthday and I'm considering having the party before the school year ends. Last year so many kids were on vacation when we had the party hardly any friends were there. Another friend of dc's from school has an August birthday and opted to wait until the new school year to have a party.

My birthday is in August and when I was a kid, we always had my party at our house and invited my current friends, didn't worry about inviting classmates necessarily.

She has no outside of school or girl scout friends and only one cousin here. She only does play dates with the girl across the street as they are in the same class. and School is only one week in June. *sigh*
I think she's older it will be easier.
