Re: Sciatica anyone?
Get a massage. (are you out of your first trimester yet?) At home, apply an ice pack over the sciatic nerve area (usually mid-buttcheek) where the pain is coming from. You can buy one of those flexible ice packs & just stick it in your pants. Apply HEAT (not too hot) over the rest of the butt/hip/lower back area that is affected. You use the ice & heat at the same time. The ice numbs the sciatic nerve pain, and the heat relaxes the muscles surrounding it. Feel Better!!!

Re: Sciatica anyone?
I suffer from it - and its a terrible type of pain that shots down my left leg - luckily some days are better than others.
Try a warm or cold compress - ive tried both and they have given me relief.
The best remedy would be to relax and not overextert yourself. I find that whenever I start cleaning or doing even the minimal activity - the pain starts. Just give yourself a break and not do anything. Hope you feel better!

Re: Sciatica anyone?
I'm still in my first trimester. I would love to get a massage, but I cannot afford that right now. I will try the heat/ice thing. Thanks so much for the advice!!!!!

mine went away after about 2 weeks (had it again yesterday).
I found warm baths and putting my feet up as much as possible helped

Re: Sciatica anyone?
I also had bad Sciatica and found that the right pillow combination at night helped a lot. I slept on my side and had to ahve a pillow behind my back and one between my knees and if I didn't do that it hurt a lot worse in the morning.
