Re: SCION XB - Chevy HHR
On my HM, we rented the HHR, same color. DH drove it and he didnt care for it and I didnt either. I thought it was weird where they placed the window switches too. They were right in front of the shifter in the middle but up on dashboard. I also felt the seats were not comfortable.
Go for Scion

You may get more answers by going to a specific board for cars, instead of here, because I would hope to god nobody on here owns one of those ugly things.
I think she was joking. No need to get upset.

Re: SCION XB - Chevy HHR
I would lean towards the Scion - it's a Toyota and you can't go wrong with Toyota (my Celica had 200,000 miles on it when I sold it, with almost no $$$ into it). I believe the Chevy is built on a car frame which is not a great idea IMO. Check Consumer Reports, it's worth it to find out what cars are really good and what aren't. Good luck!

We already have a white kia sportage and I love the fact that the color is so easy to clean - Too bad they dont make the XB in a light silver......I would like that....
Scott
White cars are great as far as cleaning...My Celica was white and my Santa Fe is white, they never really look dirty, but when they are clean they are sparkly!

Re: SCION XB - Chevy HHR
I test drove the Scion XB when it first came out and it had almost zero pick up. I had to depress my foot on the pedal all the way down and it still felt sluggish. I think you can now upgrade the engine, but in the "standard" version I felt that there were moments I would be afraid to drive in that car on a highway if I ever needed to get out of the way of a crazy driver. I think the tc model has a better engine.
As for cars I love my toyota carolla. It has great pickup and drives well. Oh I also get 38.5 mpg highway driving. That is really nice too.

It was not said in a joking way, and I am not saying that you are not entitled to an OPINION. What you gave was not an opinion, and it was really that is nasty and uncalled for. Not only did it not help Scott with his question, but you really went all out to insult someone without any consideration for anyone's feelings.

My sister also just bought the new Matrix (4WD) and she loves it. It gets over 30 MPG as well. Even the new Rav4 gets over 30 mpg & it is not a hybrid. Toyotas make some great cars.

We have a Matrix- it's a great car, really comfortable. It'll be perfect when we have kids because it's roomy and we didn't want an SUV.
Scion is made by Toyota, so I think you can't go wrong with them. I'm leery of American cars, as much as I try to buy American when possible.

omg, it was a question about cars. I hardly think I hurt anyones feelings. Youre right, I didnt state my opinion, I made a comment. So, for everyone to feel better, here is my opinion, both cars are not my taste. Even Scotts wife thinks they are ugly.

Sometimes I see you make fun of alot of things people may like, and I guess feelings get hurt. We all have different tastes which makes us unique

DH had to get one as a loaner when his car was being repaired - its HUGE inside - seriously huge! So that was nice, but IMO as far as looks go, I think it looks like a hearse.

Re: SCION XB - Chevy HHR
I'd go for the scion. Toyota's make great cars. There customer service and warranty departments are so much better than other makes....
Hope this helps

Re: SCION XB - Chevy HHR
My dad had a PT - I think he liked the look of it, not necessarily the car itself. I rode in it a few times and it didnt feel comfortable to me and honestly I didnt feel comfortable that he and my baby brother were in it all the time - it was "thin" to me, not solid you know what I mean?
I think the Scion and HHR are hot - I love the different look.

Re: SCION XB - Chevy HHR
My cousin had the Scion and just traded it in...
He did not think it had enough power to it, but the reason he traded it in was because it was not roomy enough for him, his wife, and 3 kids. He did say it was AWESOME on gas, but it idd not have a lot of "pick me up" when he hit the gas
