I have to agree!!! I graduated from Seaford schools in '97 and went to them my whole life. The school district isn't that big--it has about 190 or less students per grade and I can't say a bad thing about them. I am not sure what the school distrcit is like now but I am sure it hasn't changed that much.

You should FM Tae-wee-zah, I believe she teaches there.
I'm pretty sure they've been working without a contract for a long time now.

FM me with questions.
One year was long enough considering were the lowest paid district in the county and the increments in our last contract (signed during good economic times) didn't even come close to average cost of living... my last two increases were well below 2.75%. We have a contract now, thanks to a lot of work on the part of the union.
The same house in Seaford, vs. Mass and Wantagh, will be taxed at a higher rate, as Seaford has very little commercial real estate.
Very high turnover rate for administrators. Most use it as a stepping stone from NYC to another LI district. In the last seven years, all long term projects/visions on the part of administrators has fallen by the wayside. When I first started this was not the case.
We are seeing more and more illegal two family houses and apts. District is changing from what it once was.
