Second convertible car seat?
We need to buy on for DH's car. We have the Britax Boulevard in my car. The Marathon really had the best ratings but it is pricey. Anyone recommend something more economical with equal quality/safety rating? Baby Bargains recommends Marathon as well.

Re: Second convertible car seat?
All seats sold on the US market have passed the same tests, which are pass/fail.
Some seats are preferred because they will last longer, are easier installs, better value etc.
These are the seats I find have the most bang for your buck, without breaking the wallet:
All can be found for less than $135 with some digging: First Years/Learning Curve True Fit Graco MyRide 65 Evenflo Triumph 65
Even less expensive, but very bare bones and will not last you nearly as long as the above seats are the Cosco Scenera and Evenflo Tribute. Both can be had around $50

Re: Second convertible car seat?
We have the First Years True Fit as our main seat - I think it's great and seems like it's really comfy.
For our other car that DS isn't in as much we have the Cosco Scenera - it's safe, just not as much padding and fancy covers and all. But since DS rarely spends long trips in it, I think it's fine.
