second thoughts???
I know seeing an RE is the right thing to do, so why am I questioning myself. When I read some stuff I find it very overwhelming and I start to think, am I rushing things and should I just let nature takes its course? But then there is the other side of me that says if I wait and there is an issue, I just "wasted" all that time. Did anyone else feel this way when they started? I guess like most (all) of you, I wonder how I got to this point.

Re: second thoughts???
If you have been trying for awhile or you think you have some underlying issues, than I guess seeing an RE won't hurt. Knowledge is power!

I am 38 and DH is 37. We have been trying for 6 months. I have tried all the "tricks" and...nothing. I spoke with my GYN and although he can run some of the initial tests, we decided to start with the RE since he can go further with testing and prodecures for noth me and DH.

Honestly, I would go ahead and start with the RE. Time is so important with all this. I will be 38 in June and I've been trying for 4 years (not that this will happen with you...this is just my experience). It is overwhelming at first but we are all here to support you and answer questions.

Re: second thoughts???
Start with the RE. It takes to get moving with anything. The first few months are just spent doing basic tests. You won't regret it.

Re: second thoughts???
The general rule is that it's time to see a RE after 6 months of actively trying if you are over 35. It's normal to feel overwhelmed and scared at first about going to a RE but trying without success and no answers is even worse IMO.

Re: second thoughts???
I knew after 12 months I could go see an RE, it took me 18. I just couldn't make that step. I'm not sure if it made me feel like less of a woman asking for help, or if I was jumping the gun, but it took me a while. I did feel better after I went. I am hoping to get some answers this month.
You know what's right for you. Good Luck
