In the den/playroom we have a regular bookcase. In their bedrooms the books are in bins that fit under their toyboxes.

Right now all of her books are in a rubbermaid tub because she has tons......When I start to work on her room I'm going to try to get a three shelf book shelf that matches her furniture.....and her books probably still wont fit but I get a little nervous about getting anything higher.

We have a standard bookcase for DC's books (strapped to the wall for safety), but DD thinks that the books are much easier to get to if they are strewn all over the floor....

My father made a cute doll house book case for my DD. Im just waiting for the warm weather so he can put the finish on it. Smells too much to do in house.

Right now I have a big basket in DS's room and another basket in our family room, but the books are overflowing everywhere! I'm going to get a regular bookcase for his room. The one you posted is nice, but I don't think it would hold as many books as a bookcase.

We got this one from Pottery Barn Kids. I saw it in the catalogue and was waiting to get it when I stumbled across it at the outlet.
Now if I can just get DH to help me hang it up....

Re: seems like a silly question, but how do you store your books for baby/toddler...
Emily has a LOT of books. She has a 3-shelf bookcase in her room that is filled with books.
She also has 2 shelves of our Entertainment Center in the living room filled with books that she reads more often, and I try to keep her favorites in there, but rotate a few others each month so she's expossed to ones that she doesn't read as often.
IMO that self that you posted wouldn't be very good for holding the board books that they read for the first few years of their lives, and also wouldn't hold as many books as a regular book shelf.

They're stored in the lower section of our bookcase.

Each of my boys have their own 3 shelf bookcase in their rooms to match their furniture. And we also have a huge one down in our playroom.

Re: seems like a silly question, but how do you store your books for baby/toddler...
I don't like to keep too many in the bedroom because of dust. So I have a small bookshelf in the bedroom and a few in the basement playroom. I rotate different books into the bedrooms.

all of the board books are in bins on the floor. The "nice" books that I read to her, but do not let her really touch (you know, the ones that are like $15 each) are on a book shelf up high in her room.
Eventually when we move I will get a book shelf in her room with adjustable shelves.
