Selling & Buying a house question - Any Realtors out there?
I have a question.
I found a house that I want to buy. The homeowners are the real estate agents. It's actually their home, not a flip.
Question. They are asking $519k for the house. How negotiable will they be if I gave them my listing to sell my house? How do I negotiate that? What is a reasonable price to counter with?
Any clue anyone? thnx!!

are they priced correctly? if so, then giving them the listing to your house, (which dont forget is still work for them and not free money or anything) wont really matter. did you run your own comps? are they on point?

I worked as an agent for about 5 years- and I dont think I would use that as a negotiating point- I would make your offer- decide what your top offer is and make your first offer below that.
You can definately talk to them about selling your house- but the reason that I wouldnt use that as a negotiating point is because there is so much that goes into selling. You want to pick an agent that has experience in your neighborhood, will advertise your property, run open houses- and that will all be negotiated with the commission you pay them hth
