Selling gold jewelry?

So I have read in other posts that some people have recently sold gold jewelry. It makes sense with the price of gold recently. I have some gold jewelry that I haven't worn in over 10 years just sitting in my room, I figure why not sell it. So can anyone recommend where to go for this? Also any tips or things I should be aware of?
