Selling home questions
How much money to factor in if you are ONLY selling a house and not purchasing (closing, attorney, RE commission, other fees)?

Re: Selling home questions
Many of those items will be based on the selling price of the home. I would factor in abut 4% for realtor's fees, about $1200-1500 for attorney fees, and then closing costs typically paid by the seller are transfer taxes which are $2 for every $50 of the purchase price. In NYC there are additional City taxes that have to be paid.
If you have a mortgage, you will also have to pay for a satisfaction of mortgage to be filed but that is generally included in your pay off from your lender.

Re: Selling home questions
Our realtor commission is 5%, plus the lawyer fees, other closing fees, and pay off amount for the mortgage...$20,400. $17,000 of that is realtor commission.
