Settle a debate I know I'm going to have with DH later...
We went out to dinner on Sat. night, took home leftovers—a breaded chicken dish and rigatoni a la vodka with sausage. Is it still good?

Is it still reheatable? Sure
Will it be edible and TASTE good? Probably not
I wouldn't eat it -- and probably toss it, but I know my DH would easily eat it cause he hates wasting food.

I wouldnt eat it but I rarely eat leftovers from the next day I know I am very wasteful

If you don't eat it today toss it.
After 3 or 4 days it will still be ok to eat, but heavy sauces tend to break down and become an oily mess.
Reheating in the nuker makes it worse.

If I don't eat leftovers from a resturant the next day - I toss them on the 2nd day.
So if Sun I didn't eat the leftovers - they'd be in the garbage Mon

You can definitely eat that! Heat it up on the stove with a skillet and you'll be fine. Put a little bit of milk in the rigatoni and it will be fabulous!
After today though, I would consider tossing it.

I usually give leftovers a 3 day life. So monday would ahev been my last day to eat it. Maaaybe yesterday depending on what it was. The pasta yes, chicken no.

mm, borderline probably.
i don't doubt that it's probably still 'ok' to eat, but i doubt it tastes that good anymore when reheated.

I love leftovers and would've eaten it the next day! If not the next day then Monday would've been OK but after that would be pushing it.
My DH would eat it even after a week!
