Sex once and pregnant?

Has this happened to anyone? I know that it is def. possible just wondering if anyone has had it happened to them. We only once which was the day of a positive OPK. Im due for this Friday but have a feeling I might be out because we only did it once and Im sure the chances are low of getting a BFP

We only got to BD twice this cycle - and I'm pretty sure the 2nd time was too late. So, I am also hoping to see some positive replies in this thread!

It only takes one time if it's timed the right way. Keep in mind people can go for an IUI just once (you can BD around that, but still)

That's my opinion, anyway. Obviously doing it more will increase your chances but it's still totally possible if it's timed right!

Yup! Happened to me last winter. I bd once on cd 7 and got pg. My cycle was 28 days then. I didn't use opk then but I usually get smiley on cd 12 and cd 13.

i think it happened the first time we b/c that is the only time that makes sense - all the other times i think it would have been past ovulation and i don't think i would have gotten the bfp as soon as i did...but after seeing a doctor i'll have a better idea...

Maybe you do have ewcm but you can tell without checking ? I was off bcp for 7 months and then got bfp. I don't remember when ewcm came back though. Did you have it before you were on bcp? I have much less ewcm now that I am bdinmg like crazy.

we BD on the night of the positive opk and the night after and just got a BFP. good luck!! it can totally happen!!!

MEEEEEEEE!! I can tell you the exact day too. We on Aug 17th which was 10 days after the 1st day of my last AF, then I came down with a UTI, yeast and bacterial infection 2 days later so we weren't able to for a whole month. I thought for sure I'd be out, but I tested on Sept 8th and got my BFP TRUE STORY!!!!

DH's mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor in April, the day after Easter and needless to say, we stopped thinking about TTC that month.

DH ended up taking the second week of April off of work and we were staying at his parents for a few days while his mom went through some diagnostic testing and then an operation for a fluid drain to relieve swelling on her brain that week. I distinctly remember we BD one time that week... on a Tuesday, I believe, while we were there. We were just holding each other close and being thankful we had each other during the very difficult time. It was really sad, but we tried to stay positive.

Apparently, I conceived that Saturday according to measurements later on (very long, irregular cycles, so I had no idea until the OB gave me an EDD at my 8-week appointment). We're having a so I guess looking back, that timing sounds right since they say BD early is more likely to be a girl.

The first two months this year, we tried to BD pretty much every other day or every 3 days, but come April, we really couldn't think about anything but my MIL's health. It was absolutely amazing to be able to tell her in May that we are PG.

As a side note, after 6 months of chemo and radiation, the tumor has shrunk over 80% and she's regained most of her cognitive and motor function. The nurses at Duke who have been treating MIL are amazed at her progress. They originally were going to give her less than a few months to live (she was 47 when diagnosed). I truly believe in the power of prayer. When I told MIL that our LO's middle name is going to be her name, she cried on the phone she was so happy and honored. I will never forget that.

I've actually never shared this story on LIF or really to anyone before, but since you asked, I feel comfortable sharing it now. I hope this helps you have hope in your journey. Much to you!

Wow. thank you for sharing this. What a touching story. My MIL had a brain aneurysm earlier this year and she is now in a pretty vegetative stage. I know its different than your MIL but the pain and emotional stress is unbearable. I can relate I am so happy you got your BFP though!

This happened to one of my good friends. For her it took over 6 months, for her one time. You never know!

We once in March due to a hip injury on my part. Didn't even know if it was a fertile time or not (wasn't TTC at that point bc of the injury).... now I am due in 28 days

MEEEE!! I just got off the pill the beginning of September and we were trying but not trying and I O'ed a week later and we did it once on Sept. 29th and now I am 5 weeks..... I mean we did do it a few times after but I think it was a little past when I ovulated. So it is definitely possible!!! Good luck !!!

I know people who BD 2x during a cycle and got pregnant! SHEESH, how come its so easy for some people?!?!
