I wish we had a breeder who could come "on" to the board and give a q&a session about why they would never sell their puppies at a pet store.
That would be SO good!!! Then we could pin that topic to the top of the board.
I wonder how we could work something like this out? 
I'm trying to get something going on this on another forum I'm on (breed-specific). I'll post when I have some more info...

Really the Q&A would be to put to rest once and for all that breeders (the legit and reputable sort) would NEVER sell off their pups to pet stores and why.
Additionally, it could serve as a Q&A session for all dog owners with questions of their own regarding breeding and breeding practices.

We bought our dog there. And at the time knew nothing about them.
My FIL just bought a dog from a pet store in Aquebogue and they said that most definitely all their dogs are from breeders not puppy mills.
I hate to say this, and do not want to cause drama, but they lie. And BTW PMs see themselves as breeders. Just because a breeder is local, does not mean they are not a PM or a BYB.
BTJs Jungle and Pets Warehouse also try to say that their dogs are all from "Local responsible breeders..." Not a chance.
