I'm going to check it out. No shame in it!  I just bought a kids Met's t-shirt from Target the other day in XL. In all fairness, it was really cute!

I think a woman of any height can wear a maxi dress as long as it's hemmed properly. I'm 5'4 and I wear maxi's with flats and wedges. I like my maxi skirts to hit the top of my toes--almost touching the ground but not quite. Wedges under a maxi dress will make you look taller. You can also buy petite.

Bought my first one a few weeks ago and I love it. I got it from NY&Co. I had to have it tailored (a lot - I'm 4'11) but once the hemline was where it should be, it looked great.
I'd stick to a solid or a small pattern; larger patterns tend to overwhelm small girls.

I had one a couple of summers ago - it looked good on but it's not really 'me' to cover up that much in the summer.
