Should I expect a different sleep pattern when I transition DC to crib?
So far, DC has been a pretty good sleeper, both day and night. He'll be 10 weeks on Friday, and I return to work in two, so I think it's time for his crib.
He typically goes down aroud 10:30ish (lately), and wakes around 4:30ish for a bottle. Last night he happened to stir a lot in his bassinet, but for the most part, he sleeps sound til that early am feeding. We swaddle him. Can I expect the same results when he sleeps in his crib?
Please share your experiences!
TIA!

DD sleeps WAY better in laying on the boppy pillow or in her bassinet, but we have been trying really hard to get her in the crib.
Does he sleep in there for naps/

I've tried to nap him in there twice while swaddled and it worked fairly well. I don't swaddle him for naps, and he'll only go down in the crib while swaddled, so I'm hesitant on napping him more frequently in there since it would mean swaddling (he typically naps in his swing or bouncy).

Re: Should I expect a different sleep pattern when I transition DC to crib?
we transitioned Alex at 4 months and it did not go so smoothly....but i think that was due to teething and wanting to sleep on her belly. once she rolled to her belly and that tooth popped through, she was fine! I would start asap since you are going back to work....just in case there are few rough nights. It was also hard for me because i missed having her next to me...that wore off fast though especially with the video monitor. Now i can sleep with the video part off and just the noise part on. it all takes time. GOOD LUCK

we transitioned DS at 3 months and he did great. He actually slept more sound in the crib in his own room then in the co-sleeper in our room. He would constantly wake up whenever me or my DH would turn in bed..so we knew he was ready for the crib

Re: Should I expect a different sleep pattern when I transition DC to crib?
We just started putting DD in the crib 2 nights ago (this is our 3rd night). DD has been an awesome sleeper since the day we came home from the hospital. Unfortunately, our transition isn't going real smoothly. I'm sure that's relatively speaking, but for her, it could definitely be better.
In the bassinet, she'd sleep for 5-6 hours, wake up to feed, and then go back to sleep for another 3-4 hours. Tonight, it took us 5 tries to get her to fall asleep in the crib--DH finally wound up taking her out, rocking her, and putting her back in. So far so good, but if it's anything like last night, she'll wake up 3 or 4 times tonight
