Should I paint my window frames white?
Should I paint my LR and DR window frames white or would you leave them the wood color?
I am putting up white crown molding and wonder what will look better.

Thanks ladies. What about in my kitchen? I just installed a bay window and two other windows in my kitchen and I have to decide whether to stain them or paint them white?

I would leave them. They are beautiful. And I would stain the kitchen ones too, to keep with the rest of the house.

I would leave them unless you are putting a darket color on the walls. It would look too plain.

LEAVE THEM! They are gorgeous. I wish I had that, all mine are painted and I feel like there are 20 layers of paint on them. I really need to upgrade, it looks so beautiful!

I guess I am in the minority. but I would paint them. I like white better. We have wood colored in our MB and everyone comments on how nice it is and I hate it - can't wait to paint it!
If you are doing white crown molding. I think that it will flow better if the window frames match.

I would leave them AND stain the crown moulding to match. That way you have one uniform look.
I think it would look better either all stained or all white.

I love the look of white trim, and I also love the look you have going now. The thing is if you do the crown moulding and it looks odd with the brown trim, then I would paint the trim white, but not until you have the crown moulding put up.
I love your dining room table, chairs and china cabinet

I love the look you have now. However, if you add white crown molding, I would paint the window frames. I think, especially with the wall color, the white molding and the white window frames will pop more.
I also love natural wood, but I think there will be too much going on if you have white molding and leave the windows natural. JMO.
I also wouldn't stain the crown molding to match. I'm not sure I'd like that look. I think stained wood molding sounds a bit too rustic for me -- but maybe I'm just having a difficult time picturing it.

I left mine wood/ had them stained and I have all white molding.
I'd leave them.

ITA, I prefer the moudlings and window frames to match but I think it truly is personal taste...Our window frames are white to match our crown moulding....

I have to agree although they are pretty the way they are. I just prefer white molding but of course this is just my opinion.

Personally I think that painting them white would look better, especially if you have white crown moulding. If you leave the room white, the wood is okay, but if you paint it a color, the white would really look beautiful
