Shower for 2nd child

DD is a year old, so my last shower was january 2007. When I announced to my SIL that I was having twins she started talking about throwing me a sprinkle.

Would you be offended/annoyed if you got a baby shower invite for someone who had one a year and a half prior?

We could definitely use a ton of stuff since they'll be 2 babies, but i don't want to insult anyone.

Re: Shower for 2nd child

If it was close family or a friend, I wouldn't get insulted if I was invited to a sprinkle, especially since you're having twins.

Maybe they can make mention that basics are needed, ie diapers, shampoo, burp cloths, onesies - things that you probably used up or threw out.

I wouldn't be offended at all. I mean, you're having twins!!!! So, you're going to need a ton of new stuff!

I would, however, keep the sprinkle to close family and friends.

No. I had one for my second, and no one I knew was annoyed. Everyone who was invited came, and they all were very generous with gifts.

I think because your having twins people will understand....But if you were pg with one, I don't think a sprinkle is necessary being so close

ETA: I wouldn't be insulted either way

i would just make sure the invite list included close friends and close family. People that close to you wouldn't be insulted.

ditto!
But it should be close family and friends only.

We had a sprinkle for my sister when she was having her second baby. Her kids are less than 1.5 years apart so it was close together. The first time she had a girl and second time a boy so we got her tons of boys stuff. It was so much fun!

I agree. Especially for twins...do it! Otherwise I would say not necessary but at the same time I wouldn't be put off in anyway if I was invited to a second shower. A baby is always something wonderful to celebrate.
