Silent endo and a lap ?
So Dr. Kofinas brought up silent endo when I met with him. I have no symptoms at all. I'm trying to think of next steps before I do another transfer.
Did anybody do a lap for silent endo and actually find endo?
What type of lap did you do excision or ablation?
Who did you do it with?
Did the surgery help you? If so, how?
If you don't have silent endo but regular endo did having the surgery help your fertility journey? If so, how?
Any feedback is appreciated.

Silent endo and a lap ?
When was your appt with Kofinas? I had an appt scheduled for today at 2pm. On Friday at 4pm they called me and said they are cancelling all consults and now requiring the records sent to them before they will book an appointment. I sent the records Monday at 8am and still haven't heard anything.
As an aside... Dr. B suspected silent endo with me. I had a lap with Dr. Vidali and no endo was found. That was Jan 2016. My immune results are still horrid so he recommended another lap to check again so I am having my 2nd lap with Dr. Vidali on this coming Tuesday.

I had silent endo that was found by Dr. V too. He didn't think I had it, Dr B thought I did so he was right! My thoughts were it couldn't "hurt" me so why not!

WOW, thats crazy they want records before they will book an appointment. I wonder whats going on?
I went on the 7th and 14th.
How are they managing your immune issues? I was on so many immune meds my last two transfers.
I'm surprised they are sending you for another lap if the one last year didn't find anything. Good luck.

Interesting. I just feel like its a big surgery for someone who has no signs of it. Did having the surgery and removing the endo help you?

Well after a BFN with prior embryos we did another cycle after the lap. It got turned into an FET and I got a BFP. I miscarries due to a genetic disorder. The next FET I got a BFP with twins. So I'd say yes! The recovery wasn't that bad. I'd rather try all things they say I should have in my book. I was going to NJ for the surgery.

I already had the records so I sent them right away and they still wouldn't let me keep the appointment. So annoying!
Dr. B says he has cases where there's no endo and then the next lap there is endo. He also says that he has had success with lasering the perineum during the lap with decreasing inflammation.
I was literally on every immune drug already - IVIG, prednisone, plaquenil, prograff, baby aspirin, lovenox, neupogen, metformin... and still lost pregnancy at 5 weeks last 2 FETs with Dr. B. And last one we tested the sac... genetically normal :(
So I have nothing left to lose by doing another lap cuz there's nothing else we can add at this point. Dr. B will be upping the dose of pred from 40mg to 60mg which is kinda insane and doubling the prograf dose.
