My dogs name is Auto....yup that's right Auto as in the car, ya know an automoblie. Long story., but it fits him and I love him to pieces!

My parents had a dog named Misha. In Polish it means mouse. Our doberman was the runt of the litter so naming it after a mouse I guess seemed appropriate...

We named our dog Busey after Gary Busey.
The first day we brought her home, she was a maniac with ADHD.
Not that I will ever have one, but if I ever needed to name a turtle, I would name it Lisa Turtle.

Growing up we had a cairn terrier named Wicket (like the Ewok)
Most of my pets were named after their color or a food they resembled (and then add y at the end) - we were SOOO original (ex: Whitey, Blacky, Shelly, Whitey junior, Cinnamon, Sugar, Fuzzy, Runty, Skunky).

We had a ton of animals in my lifetime..
We had one cat that my Dad wanted to call Charlie and we (me and my sibs) wanted to call Midnight so his name was Charlie Midnight, and that cat was so shady
We had cats named: Petey, Tiger, Feisty(after that whale that got stuck at Jones Beach) Flash, Puss (what was my Mom thinking ) Miss Thang, Evita, Che, Cleo, Mama Cat
Dogs: Duffy, Rex, Fuzzy, Samantha (we called her Sammy), Jake (who we call Jakey-poo-poo )

My mother's Bischon's official name is Samson but we all call him stinky or tink

I got a cat for my son and told him that he could name the cat. Robbie was 3 years old at the time. He named the cat "3".
I named my Lhasa George becuase of the Bugs Bunny cartoon "I'll hug him and squeeze him and call him George"
My sister had cats name inksplot(Inky), Sneakers and Friday. And my sister had a dog named Puddin'.
Most of our animals have had really normal people or pet names. I grew up with German Shepherds named Diane, Jackie, Roxy and Woody - a cocker spaniel named Mandy, a mutt named Sissy, a terrier named Patch and a mini Schnauzer named Hansel (his parents were Scotty and Zelda). We also had a cat named Daisy.
Our dog now is Thunder... I wanted to name him Rover or Spot - but my boys didn't go for it.

FH's neighbors had a dog that they called "diogi" and I always thought - wow i wonder what that means it sounds like such a beautiful italian name for a dog.
yeah, i found out MUCH later that they were say D.O.G. that was his name!
