Silly questions for moms who delivered at Stony Brook

Since the babies are in your room all day (and/or all night), did you bring clothes for them or did you leave them in their undershirt and blanket? Hayley was in NICU the entire time I was in the hospital so I didn't need to think about it then.

I thought it would be easier and warmer for her to be dressed in a stretchie rather than me have to fuss with keeping her wrapped in a blanket all the time.

My friend who delivered at St Charles brought a packed diaper bag and her DD was dressed in a stretchie all the time...that is where I got the idea from.

Thanks!

That's entirely up to u! You can certainly use the hospital shirts/blankets during your stay, however, it's perfectly acceptable to bring your own! I had DS in his own clothes after the 1st day!

She was swaddled in the hospital blankets every day there. They check her vital signs every night and day. I don't think they want to be bothered with clothing. We kept her in a t shirt that they provided. You can definitly bring your own, but all the babies had on t shirts and the hospital blankets and we're always swaddled. The temperature was perfect in the room.
