Re: Since I feel like no one can come out and say it.. here's a poll about the protest

Shouldn't Occupy Wall Street really be Occupy Washington DC, after all, Wall Street is only playing by the rules that have been put in place by our elected officials and lawmakers...protesting Wall Street and banks isn't going to accomplish anything. They won't change their ways unless D.C. tells them they have to. And since they each have their hands in each other's pockets, sadly, nothing will change.
Yes, I think someone should give those folks a map and some bus money

I totally support this movement whether it's just opening our eyes to what's wrong with the country....
Those who don't support this movement really need to look at the facts:
Income disparity growing
This isn't just about the huge income disparity between the 1% and 99% but corporate greed, outsourcing of jobs and everything that is making this country go down the toilet. Something's gotta give.

What difference does it make where they are physically standing? It's all over the news, and there are Occupy protests all over the country now. It's not about the location

I fully support any protest that gets people to start looking for solutions, to start questioning the status quo that only works for SOME people.
I wish they were more organized but I suspect they're on their way.
I'd love to see elected officials take notice & see that something needs to change & start proposing workable solutions.

I'm openly in support of the right to protest.
I fully believe that OWS has begun to cause some serious thought and has started to shed light on some big issues.
I am under no illusions that every single person there is there with good intent. I don't think they have the answers to what's wrong or and I don't think the wealthiest 1% are all evil and selfish ne'er do wells looking to squash the middle class.
But I think there is a great dialogue beginning and I'm excited to see where it goes. And I am THRILLED that there are people out there willing to fight the good fight.
Brilliantly put and I agree with you. I am glad to see this movement gaining momentum and I hope it continues.

Re: Since I feel like no one can come out and say it.. here's a poll about the protest
I haven't had time to post much on the variety of threads but I'm in open and heartfelt support of them.
I am a little shocked that more people do not see the magnitude of the problems we have today.
Please - enough about the location. It doesn't matter where they are. Several entities could give a little to help us get out of this mess. Yes, the government is one of them - but so is Wall Street.

I'm surprised from the posts I've seen on this board how many posters are NOT in support in any way.
