Since liweddings is non existent now...

My last sister is gettting married and we need help!

She wants a minimum of 75 people in Suffolk. Preferably a Friday night. I've been helping her call places and most need a minimum of 100 people. Unless she wants a Sunday day which she'd rather not. Also keeping it as close to 100 per person. Any ideas? She has appointments at lombardis on the bay, east wind and Trumpets on the bay.

Also, any recommendations on a photographer that will be under 2,000?

Tia!!

Tall Grass Country Club in Shoreham. My cousin was married there awhile ago. I think they only had 80 people. It was beautiful though.

Just looked them up since it's close to her but it says closed permanently. Bummer!

Look at places with multiple rooms. They have differ y size rooms so there is more flexibility.

Is she looking during peak months? If she is ok with a winter wedding places will be more accommodating to a lower minimum on a Friday night.

TimberPoint in Sayville had lower minimums for Friday especially during off-peak months.

She may also want to try The View, Snapper Inn, and Captain Bill's.

Hamlet Wind Watch in Hauppauge.
There are a couple of Hamlet venues. I got married at Hamlet Wind Watch, it's on a golf course. I don't remember my minimum but I think it was less than 100.

Try The Larkfield in Northport.

Also - try the Hyatt Windwatch - they have a beautiful smaller room that they use for events - not just the big ballroom.

Riviera Massapequa. Not sure of minimum we had a Friday wedding (tight budget) with about 130. I think the price pp would just go up if under amount needed. Their pricing was the best of every place I went to.
Worth a call. Place is beautiful. 1 wedding at a time and the food was delicious.

Edited to add if she goes somewhat off season, the price will be what she needs. We were April 8th. The weekend before the prime season began and it was significantly less. Like shockingly lol

We spent way under $100 pp and had every option available

got married at the watermill last yr. completely renovated. If shes booking a year out, there isnt much wiggle room no matter who she books with. The closer you book, the more leverage you have

This! When we got married, we booked in April for an October wedding. The price we got for a Friday night wedding at Westbury Manor was incredible. Seriously, jaw on the floor incredible.

we booked 3 months out. not only does it save you money, its also LESS stressful. The more time you have to think, the harder it gets. Also, you end up spending so much money on stupid little things that are completely pointless.

Try West Sayville Country Club, The Mansion at Timber Point and Smithtown Landing. These are Lessing's. All one affair at a time and all super affordable with low minimum's. I had my wedding at West Sayville and I had a 75 person minimum, but I got married on a Sunday. Price wise I was well under $100/per in October.

Also try Park Ave Studios for a photographer.

Re: Since liweddings is non existent now...

My cousin just got married in April at Insignia Steakhouse in Smithtown. She had a Saturday day wedding and I am pretty sure her minimum was 75 and price was around 100ish pp.

It was the perfect place for a smaller wedding.

I think it will be hard to find a photographer for less than 2K BUT it really depends on how long you want the photographer to be there and how many. If she is OK with just one and only needs them for 3-4hrs (may not get photos of dancing and cake cutting)...then they might be able to work with her.

Re: Since liweddings is non existent now...

Just wanted to second Mansion at Timber Point. My best friend got married there and everything was so good! She had a package deal too and as someone who had a super expensive wedding at Woodbury CC and planned a wedding through LIW, I couldn't believe the level of service and how good everything was there for an "all-inclusive" deal. She had just under 100 people in April on a Friday night and paid under $100 PP.

I got married here when Lessings had just taken over a million years ago, lol

The room has been updated and it's pretty. I was going to recommend here as well.
