SIRM patients -anyone get endometrial function test?
Dr. T will be doing hysterocoscopy to check uterine cavity. Also getting and endometrial biopsy. Dr t also mentioned endometrial function test. It's not covered and he's not pushing it on me but suggests I should get it done to check the endometrium etc.
Anton ever get and if so what's your opinions and thoughts on it?

Re: SIRM patients -anyone get endometrial function test?
He mentioned it to me when I had gone to his consult last year. I think the part that scared me the most was the pain. I know the pain is short lived; but Im such a scaredy cat.
If the cost out of pocket is not that much; I would go ahead with it.
It can only help.

Re: SIRM patients -anyone get endometrial function test?
It was pretty similar to an endometrial biopsy in terms of pain. I was able to resume my daily routine after the test. The test checks to see if your lining is receptive to implantation. For me, I have only had BFNs so I wanted to make sure an embryo would be able to implant. I know you have mentioned that it might be one of your last cycles so you might want to check everything out. I realize that it is expensive but it will give Dr. T more information. I have a detailed description of the function of the test from Dr. Wang if you want me to PM you. Good luck!

Re: SIRM patients -anyone get endometrial function test?
I had it done after my failed FET with Dr. T. He did it with the hysteroscopy. I'm glad I did it because it showed I had endometritis and additional inflammation. He had me take a 2 wk course of antibiotics and said that if I did another cycle he would repeat the antibiotics and put me on a higher dose of prednisone. They send the sample to Yale. It's done on a certain day of your cycle because they are testing your lining to check for any issues with implantation. I don't remember how much it cost but it wasnt a crazy amount. Good luck! I loved Dr. T. He worked with you as an individual case and not on set protocols like other practices.

SIRM patients -anyone get endometrial function test?
Thanks ladies! I think he is doing the test during my hysteroscopy so ill be knocked out and won't feel the pain. I'm also getting a biopsy. The cost is not too crazy and I really feel I need to look deeper before doing a last cycle. Thanks for the info!
