Re: Skinny Taste Recipes, hit or miss???

You guys reminded me about how much I like the Sicilian Rice Ball recipe, so I made it last night...awesome! Even my 3 yr old picky eater loved it.

I just made the stuffed pepper soup. It's still simmering but it was delish when I tasted it.

If you like Skinny Taste, check out this blog:
http://www.preventionrd.com/ . I find her stuff more flavourful. Skinny Taste is good, don't get me wrong, but I always have to double the garlic and spices.

I'm glad you said this, I thought it was just me! I love the recipes but the seasoning is usually way too bland for me.

I made the Chicken Rollatini with Spinach alla Parmigiana. Delish. I also made the zucchini stick which were awesome too. I used panko bread crumbs b/c that's what I had. Awesome.

Hits:
- Carne Bistec
- Potatoes, Chicken Sausage, and Peppers - probably my favorite so far
- Spinach Lasagne Rollups - these were really good but would probably be even better with ground meat
- Chicken Rollatini Stuffed with Zucchini and Mozzarella
- Chicken Nuggets - I actually make this as chicken tenders, not nuggets
- Zucchini Sticks
- Baked Bananas - these were good, but the cooking time was too long for my oven

Misses:
- Chicken with Wine and Mushrooms
- Rice with Peas
Both dishes were bland, not enough seasonings/flavor for our taste

Made this the other night except we left out the jalapeño. My husband would love to add it, but I don't like it. They where really good.
We also made avocado egg salad. That was also good. My husband changed the recipe up a little the second time he made it, and we liked it even more..

Re: Skinny Taste Recipes, hit or miss???

I made the crock pot chicken taco chili last night and it was delish! I did change the recipie slightly (used chili seasoning, added some add'l seasoning, etc) but it was great. I had it with 1/3 a cp of brown rice and 1 cp of the chili and I couldnt finish it!!!

I also made the skinny taco dip which was good.

I once made the crab cakes and they were just okay...i wouldnt make them again!
