Re: sleeping on stomach question
You'll know when you can't do it anymore. At some point, your body just won't let you. And if you happen to roll over onto your stomach for a little while, it won't be the end of the world.

Re: sleeping on stomach question
my doctor never said it is a no no. He prefers I sleep on my side. I use a body pillow and shove it halfway under me this way I am not putting so much pressure on my stomach/uterus.

Re: sleeping on stomach question
I slept on my stomach until about 32 weeks. I couldn't get comfortable any other way, but I lucked out and didn't gain a lot of weight so it wasn't uncomfortable sleeping on my stomach. It wasn't until the last couple of weeks when I popped and couldn't sleep on it anymore.

Re: sleeping on stomach question
I'm not exactly a stomach sleeper, but more of a back sleeper. I tried sleeping on my left side a couple times in my first trimester and didn't like it at all. I kept waking up on my back, which was okay at that point since it was so early. I decided to keep trying to sleep on my side so that I would get used to it...and eventually with the help of the snoogle, I trained myself to sleep on my side. It took a while though to get used to it!

Re: sleeping on stomach question
I did it until it was just too uncomfortable. Now, I sleep half on my side, half on my stomach, with my pillow supporting the belly.

Re: sleeping on stomach question
My doc told me that my body would tell me when it was time to stop sleeping on my stomach, and sure enough it did!
Enjoy your sleeping now!
