when the babies come home we plan on keeping them in our room for awhile in bassinets and them moving them into their own room.....the thing i can't decide is once they are out of the bassinets did they share a crib r each sleepis in his own? i know we need 2 cribs..thats not my question...the question is at what age did you seperate them sleeping?

Re: sleeping situation...
I cant really answer because I kept them in there own crib from the day I brought them home from the hospital, but I do remember that around 3 months is when they started to get active.
Hope this helps

Re: sleeping situation...
we never had them share a crib. They were actually in their swings for 3 months and then moved to theri own cribs.

Re: sleeping situation...
i planned on keeping them in the same crib for 3 months but they were too moble. they rolled over freakishly early - and one in particyular was very very rolly. so i sperated them when it was necessary. it was about 2 months that i thoguht it was no longer safe to have them together.

Re: sleeping situation...
we kept our twins in one cosleeper in our room for a long time. they were swaddled tight, so no one was rolling or swinging their arms into the other. once they started getting out of the swaddle we moved them to sep. cribs.
it sounds like you are planning on having them sep at first in bassinets. if that is successful, i don't think you would then start cosleeping them in one crib anyway.

Re: sleeping situation...
We kept them both in a pak n play in our room for about 2 months. Then we had them both in their own pak n plays (they were getting to long to sleep horizontal). At 4 months we started a bed time routine and they went to seperate cribs in there own room.

Re: sleeping situation...
Mine will be sharing a crib for the first few months. The room we have set up as the nursery right now can only fit one crib. The room that will eventually be their room needs a lot of work, and we need more time to finish it. I am hoping we can keep them together for at least 4 months. We might get a crib divider if they start moving around a lot and smacking each other.

Re: sleeping situation...
mine went from the hospital to their own cribs. we didn't use a bassinet or pack n play. Our house was small at the time so their room was close enough.
