SLR Camera Question
Are there any good websites or books that will explain how to use the manual part of the camera. I have a Nikon. Thanks!

Re: SLR Camera Question
I bought a book by David Busch and found it awesome (I have a Nikon D50). Much simpler and easier to read and follow than the manual that came with my camera.

Re: SLR Camera Question
You mean the shutter speed and the aperture? It's actually really easy with the Nikon. You can use aperture priority (the "A") to set the depth of field, and it will automatically choose the shutter speed for you. Or, you can do the opposite and pick "S" for shutter speed priority, and the camera will select the correct aperture.
Practice is the best way to learn. Just pick different appertures and or shutter speeds, right them down, take the picture, then look at the picture to see what you get. Also, make a note of the lighting that was used and the conditions (outdoors/indoors, sunny, overcast....).
That's not a book recommendation, but hopefully that helps!
