Small red dots on my puppy's tummy?
My puppy woke up this morning with what looks like a rash on her belly. It doesn't seem to bother her, and her energy is fine.
Her food hasn't changed, although we did go on two long walks yesterday.
Any idea what this could be? Could it be related to the heat?
We're going to monitor it and take her to the vet Thursday if it doesn't clear up, but I was just curious if anyone had any idea what this could be.

I've never really seen dogs react with a rash from the heat, kwim? All the dogs I've ever had would get "hot spots" that were more like moist lesions (sorry for the 2 most disgusting words in the English landguage!) rather than a rash. Maybe he walked in something he was allergic to on his walk? If that's the case, Benadryll will help. I think I would probably give my pup a little Benadryll to see if that clears it up.

How many? Could be mosquito bites. This happened to my dog once and they were itchy.

We gave her a bit of Benadryl tonight so well see how she does. It really looks like a rash/hives so I don't think it's mosquito bites-there's way too many of them.

First thought was hot spots but could also be some sort of bug bite

My dog got about 10 one night on her belly, when we were holding her up when we were talking with a friend and her belly was exposed for a long time. My DD and I both also got bit, so that's how I knew it was mosquito bites.
