SO ITCHY
For the past few days, my legs have become so itchy. I lay in bed at night and rub them together so much that it wakes up DH. They are slightly rashy today. I do a full body moisturizer everyday (with a bath and body lotion)when I get out of the shower, so they can't be that dry. Is anyone else experiencing this? Maybe its just another PG symptom? What lotion could I use?

Re: SO ITCHY
I used massage oil or olive oil to prevent stretch marks. When my skin is itchy I use that and the itch goes away. It might be PUPS???? I think that is what it is called. I heard that PUPS makes your skin itch, but I never had it and I am not an expert. Maybe some other ladies had an experience with it. Sorry i can't help you more.

The lotion you are using probably isn't "thick" enough to really moisterize your legs. Try using Bath and Body's Body Cream or get an extra strength moisterizer and use in the morning and at bedtime. I think you are too earlier in your pregnancy for PUPS (sp).
I get very dry legs in the winter and have had exactly what you are describing. The Body Cream works well for me but only if I used it twice a day.

Re: SO ITCHY
The best cream for dry skin is Cetaphil in a tub. You can get it at target or a drugstore. It is the best.....I've been using it for years, ever since I realized I had ezcema (sp?) and I haven't had a problem since. My dermatoligist told me anything that comes through a pump or squeeze top is not thick enough to do much.

I also have dry legs. I think its from the heater at home and in the office. I shave with oil and I use a salt scrub with oil. That plus DDF lotion (My doctor recommended it- but then again, he is DDF) seems to be doing the trick. I think oil is the key.

I'm 11 weeks.
Although its not impossible to have pupps at this stage....its highly unlikely...
As the girls said cetaphil is a great cream and moisturizes well...
You can also try sarna cream...it will give you some relief...but will not moisten your skin...

Re: SO ITCHY
I too had the very itchy legs. I went to a dermatologist for it because I also got a rash. Ther dermatologist said it was folliculitis -- where the hair follicles get inflammed for some reason or another. She told me not to shave for 2 weeks (easy for me since my hair doesn't grow very fast, and it is winter), and I used hydrocortisone creme 2.5% (prescription strength). I still get periodic breakouts, and I just resort to this, and it clears up in a couple of days.
I don't think it is PUPS, as I believe that is usually on the trunk of your body.
I know how uncomfortable and annoying this can be. I hope you feel better soon.
