so now that I am keeping track..
I finished my period mostly on Sunday, Monday woke up with a little bit of remnant blood.
Tuesday, CM started... only on CD7. Isn't that early? It's continuing to progress and get slightly heavier.
I also usually have a pretty long cycle-- 34 days-ish.
Does this mean I probably ovulate closer to my period and have a long luteal (sp?) phase?
Anyway-- I know it's too early to really make any real conclusions. Was just thinking about it.

Re: so now that I am keeping track..
Is it EWCM or just CM? I usually start with CM pretty much right after AF, but don't ovulate for another week after that.

Re: so now that I am keeping track..
EWCM is when it gets stretchy, right?
I got some stretching action.

Re: so now that I am keeping track..
I looked back at my last chart, I started getting EWCM CD12, but didn't O until CD17. So, the point is, some women have longer periods of fertile CM (which is def. an advantage when TTC)

Re: so now that I am keeping track..
ahh ok... I am not doing any OPK's or anything yet. Just tracking my periods since now I am off the pill and CM & EWCM so I can have some IDEA of when I will be fertile and maybe have a clue when my next period will come.
ETA-- so the stretch indicates EWCM, correct?

Re: so now that I am keeping track..
Yes, so long as your sure it's not fluid from DH. EWCM won't break like semen will. It's stretchy - sometimes resembles eggwhite (mine never did, but was clear and stretchy). the stretchier the better!

Now that I'm looking for CM/EWC, it doesn't show up. Before when we weren't trying I had it all the time---strange

Re: so now that I am keeping track..
It would be abnormal to have a LP longer than 18 days I believe. Are your cycle very short? keep monitoring things this month. it took me a little while to distinguish regular CM from EWCM from semen..... It's such a great learning experience isnt it?
Also, an OPK is your best bet. It takes all the guess work out!

I think that watery Cm can also strech but EWCM is very stretchy.. a few inches. It can also be thick.. just like.. well.. egg whites..
But yeah watery CM is also stretchy

So once all the CM has stopped, you are past your fertile state, correct?

Most women will be dry on the day they O with little to no EWCM. I always got mine about 4 days before I O'd
