So overwhelmed sometimes.....
My dog is almost 8 months old & when we get home from work she goes crazy....pulls & tears the curtains, tries to climb up the shelves, jumps on the kitchen table, etc.
She's even peed in the house a few times this week after we asked her to go away while we were eating. So I think its out of spite and for attention !?!
When she's good she's soooo sweet but when she's bad she's a little nightmare.
I don't know what to do anymore, I feel like my life revolves around this dog because I can't get anything done with her around. I'm just praying this behavior stops SOON

I don't know if it will stop entirely. But it will surely calm down alot once your pup turns one or so.
The peeing in the house...well, that's not spite. You have a baby dog there, 8 mths old is a baby and many times they cannot control their pee when excited. Is your dog a female? My female had (and still does) nhave bladder control issues when excited. Try taking your dog out before you eat, so that if he/she gets excited, there won't be any pee left in the bladder.
Also sounds like your dog needs alot more exercise. Dogs are a LOT of work and truth is your life does revolve around them since they are very demanding pets. But that does calm down once they are fully trained, and older. But def they need alot of attention and exercise, this will be for a long time. However, it's sort of like the newborn stage the first year, similar to a human baby. After the first year, it does get easier.

When my lab was a puppy she did the opposite - destroyed things when we weren't home. Like ate the molding, wall, and everything under our bed. We blocked off the areas she went for most and she eventually lost interest.
We do make sure she gets multiple long walks a day, which can be tough to fit in sometimes. Is doggie daycare an option a few times a week?
An exhausted puppy is a calm puppy.

Thanks for your responses ! I wish I could afford doggie daycare, she'd love it !!!
The days she gets to play with other dogs or kids are the best, she's soooo good those days :) Too bad we can't do it everyday.
Both nights she had accidents after she had JUST gone out less than an hour before so that's why i thought she peed for attention. I mean she can hold it during the day for 4 1/2 hrs ?!?

Puppies are so much work.. You should excercise her more probably.. Do you walk her everyday or let her out in the yard? A tired dog is a good dog !!

Nah, probably just overly excited and any remaining urine in the bladder escapes.My female had this. As a pup, up to over a year, it happened. Now it only happens if she has a full bladder and gets excited.

DH walks her in the morning for like 15 minutes, I come home at lunch time to throw the ball & run around with her in the yard for about 15-20 mins and she gets at least a 30 minute walk at night, usually 45 to an hour if its nice out. DH usually runs around & plays with her for a bit in the house and if its nice out I'll throw the ball around in the yard before bedtime.
She'll also play by herself or chews on her toys when we're home relaxing.
I feel like we do a lot but I honestly don't know how much exercise is enough ?

This is going to sound crazy, I thought so when the vet said it to me but dogs go through adolescence. When Murphy was a puppy, we trained him and by 4 months old he was perfectly behaved. I even started leaving him out of his crate while we were at work and then at around 9-10 months he started acting out again... he even chewed a hole straight through the kitchen wall. We told the vet and she said it was "teenage" behavior. If you think about it, they are adults at 1 year old so 8-11 months old would be their teenage, acting out time. I am sure she will calm down in time. Hang in there!

I have a bulldog so his excitement lasts uhh a total of 15 minutes But we put a dog run in the back just for him to burn energy and it has worked great. Now when he walks around he's so much more mellow and not tackling the kids. Sometimes to w/a puppy they just get so excited that your home that they do that. I'd try taking him outside as soon as he starts up.

I try to always think "it could be worse" but somedays it just feels like it'll never end.

Good advice on here already but I also wanted to suggest in regard to the "zoomies" when you get home - can you try to walk in the door, and if she goes nuts, just COMPLETELY. SHUT. DOWN.
Turn your back, don't shout at her, don't yell "STOP", don't do anything. Cross your hands over your chest, keep your back to her, and do not turn around until she STOPS and sits! Of course both you and DH will have to be consistent if she does this when you both return.
She wants your immediate 100% attention when you get in - and acting out/frenzied behavior probably gets her that 100% of the time kwim?
So change the game, now she doesn't get your attention until she calms down and greets you nicely.
It may take a little while before she's cured of the zoomies, but it will work!!!!
