So while I was playing accident victim at home yesterday...
My son - the baby I carried for 9 months, took great care to provide a safe environment for in those 9 months, ate healthy for, labored for 16 hours for and brought into this world...
Sat in his exersaucer (which btw was my brilliant idea to purchase) looked right at me at said:
"dadadadadadadadadad"
with smile on his face. And when I said "mama" he proceeded to whisper "dada" to me.
DH got a great kick out of this until I explained that when DS called for him at night that I would make him go. Not so funny then.

And yes, if he's calling DADDY at night, that's who must go in, or he'll get confused

My DS does not say mama  only Dada
One night he was in his crib crying, I walk into his room and he goes "Dada?" as if asking dada is that you? Of course I say NO! It's mama but I will go and get him for you!!
If at 3am he is looking for dada I will gladly get DH!!

Even though he hasn't said it yet-we all know mama is the favorite. But I like the idea of Dada having to go in to get him in the middle of the night if he starts calling dada. I'm going to have to remember that when Hailey starts saying Dada.

Good, let's see if it works on your DH...afterall, you don't want Lucas to get confused and call you "dada" and DH "mama" down the line Good luck convincing DH

DS says dada usually when he's playing and mama when he's cranky or tired. I think DH bribed him with something.

This happens to me all the time--I look straight in DHs face and say "Mama Mama" and he replies, loudly "Dada Dada"
