Some questions for you ladies about CM...

Since we were not trying to get pregnant, I had no idea that your CM changes at certain times.

Now that I have AF again, I was going to just check it out during the month out of curiosity... You'd think I had bette things to do with my time, right?

So, I get AF, and it runs its course for the week, and then what? What am I looking for? What days do the CM change?

When is it supposed to be EW-ish? When does it indicate I am most fertile? How do I know? What days should I really be looking?

I remember someone once posted a graphic website that showed sketches of how it should look on your fingers - I'm not sure I notebooked it - maybe I did... but if not - does someone remember it?

OK - 1 more question - and its a little gross - but how do you check?

I mean, do you stick your fingers all the way in, or just in the outer labia area? Is this the stupidest question ever????

I was wondering the same thing! I did go "up there" (I know, TMI!) but I don't ever see a difference! And I've never ever had EWCM, it's always clear and really not that stretchy.

I can answer some of your questions... I think... right after AF you should be dry then as you approach ovulation it gets wetter. First thickish and then finall ewcm right at ovulation. This is considered your FM as it provides the best environment for the survival of sperm. Timing wise this of course depends on how long your cycle is. After ovulation it starts to dry up again. Depending on the person, you might be able to see just from wiping after going to bathroom. For others you might have to probe a little.
