Some scary pain yesterday.

So Saturday I did a lot. Honestly, I over did it. By night time I could hardly move. I had sciatica pain and I was so sore. So, Yesterday I had to help move my aunt our her assisted living. I was already feeling crampy when I woke up and my MOm tried to encourage me to stay home and let DH just help them. But, DH was grumpy about helping so I went along.

I didn't do any heavy lifting but, I did do some reaching and taking down pictures and loading boxes full. All of the sudden the cramping turned into pain right across the bottom of my belly, down low. It would come, get really bad and then fade away... Kind of like a contraction maybe? It kept happening. I was getting scared and them my Mom walked in the room and saw my face and got all upset.

Side note: My Mom is an L&D nurse and doesn't get upset about anything pregnancy related. She is always rolling her eyes at my silly worries and do and don't lists.

So seeing my Mom get upset got me all upset. I was like, "mom it's probably just B&H and she was like a contraciton is a contraction. Lay down". SHe then put me in the car took me back to her house and ordered me to bed. I wasn't even allowed to get up to get a magazine. I kept hydradrating like crazy and after a few hours it got better. IT stopped as long as I layed down. But as soon as I got up.. It started again.

Well around 5pm it was mostly better so I went to church and then stood around while DH cooked dinner. All of the sudden it came back really bad. I called my Mom and she was really upset so I called the Midwife.

She was also concerned. But, encouraged that it stopped when I layed down. She said she would send me to the hospital if it didn't. So I stayed in bed, hydrating for the rest of the night with strict orders to call her if it didn't get better with rest. She thinks I really overdid it and my muscles were just freaking out. I will say that while my tummy got slightly tight when this happened, It didn't get rock hard as I have heard B&H described. And Baby was moving the whole time.

Well, thank god, it did get better, I fell asleep early and slept through the night. I am going to work today but, I am so nervous. I really hope this was an isolated scary day. I could use some prayers that all remains okay.

Will you be checking in with the midwife again? Keep us posted on how you feel.

I bet you did just overdo it but it is good that your mom with with you. You have to take it easy, I know it is difficult but that baby is just too important. i would definately try to stay off your feet as much as possible at work today

Oh wow, that does sound scary. Glad to hear you were feeling better by the end of the day. I hope it was just an isolated incident. Now take it easy!!!

im so sorry that you had such an a scary experience yesterday. you definitely over did it. You just need to take it easy a lot more. Your body is just telling you, that you cant do things like you used too. I hope you have an easy day at work!! Feel good. Stay hydrated.

Thanks ladies. I do feel better today. I haven't had any pain today. Some mild cramping and some lower back/rear end pain But that was only towards the end of the day. Luckily I work with all women and they took care of me all day. I sat all day and let the kids come to me. I didn't do too much walking.

I really think I just over did it. The only B&H type contractions I had today are the ones where your belly just gets tight and you feel no pain. So that's normal, I guess. I'm sure the midwife will call tonight. So I'll just let her know how I am doing. But for now... back on the couch. I need more rest.

I drank sooo much water today so hopefully hydration won't be a factor for now.

It definately sounds like you overdid it. I get cramps & BH when I do too much as well. I hope you're feeling better today
