I have a question... if the windows were rolled down and there was water left for them, why is that illegal? I am just asking b/c I am willing to bet that not every pet owner leaves the A/C on at home for their pets in the summer (I would though!). and with the windows closed in the house all day (or even open), it can get way hotter than it was today.
I would personally NEVER leave an animal in the car unattended.

I know nothing about the law concerning this so I won't claim to....
But I do know that a car heats up way faster than a home.
My 2nd floor today only reached 83 degress, and my first floor stays pretty cool, especially with the windows closed, I didn't put the air on on Saturday until about 2 PM......
But on days over 90 I leave the AC on for my pup....it's just something you do as a pet owner to make your babies comfortable....

we dont have air conditioning in any other place but the bedrooms and dogs wont stay in there without someone in there. my house is REALLY hot and my dogs make do, they haven't known any other way.
-for the record-
I would NEVER leave any pet in a car, but the dogs had water and the windows were down, I don't see that as being any differnt then being in your backyard, or in my house.
